sick

being sick is really really sian. no energy. makes me want to do nothing but sleep and sleep and sleep. BUT cannot. readings to be read, projects to be done, church stuff to be done.

生病固然辛苦。可是看到ah ma 躺在病床上，想必她的辛苦比我多上百倍。看着她耗尽好多力气呼吸，看着她紧皱着眉头，看她身上的伤口，看她无奈的眼神，心里真的好酸，好酸。如果她能不用经历病痛就回到天家去，那该多好。

我爸爸和ah ma 的感情其实并不是那种超好的。我也一样。可是看到ah ma 这样，心里真的是很伤心。在医院为着她祷告，我们哭了。

人生真是短暂。

看着爸爸他们兄弟姐妹，看到了照顾一位老人家所带来的困扰和压力。

感谢神ah ma 已认识主。她所将前往的地方，是个更美好的地方，没病痛的地方。

recently

I've been taking many many naps. half hour naps, 1 hr naps. Especially before I start on school work when I'm home. It seems that I'm getting increasingly incapable of staying awake to do school work, even if it's 3pm in the afternoon. So far the most shiok nap was one that was immediately after dinner. After eating my fill, I announced that i was going to sleep first before waking up to do work. My eldest sister in law looked a little incredulous at that. haha. From now on I'm going to try to sleep earlier so that I'm not so tired in the day.

But then again, napping is really quite shiok :)

很自在

I know that they are friends for life when I know I can eat squid ink pasta and get my mouth black without any hestitation and sense of embarrassment. even if it means they'll laugh at me and i'll laugh too. :D not that i'm thick skinned ok! and not that i'm plain rude and has no dining etiquette, but that there's such a sense of ease between us that I can totally let down my guard and be myself even if it means being super unglam. I'm thankful for them!

i have this sense of deja vu. i think i said the same things about dabestclique sometime back too :D blessed to have them in my life too. which also means quite a number of pple have access to the unglam side of me. hmm.

Then there was the science centre trip with Shermaine. decided to bring her out instead of buying present for her birthday :D and so we went to the science centre! it was actually quite fun. and she made me play at this water works thing. sigh. got ourselves all drenched at this place! it's funny how timid she is. she was freaked out by the diseases exhibit! hmm.

There're a lot of adhoc stuff this week, which means there's not much time left to complete readings/assignments and study for the quiz. monday night was planning for the okyaya camp games. tues was science centre + dinner w fang, mh, and en. tmr there'll be 'info session' w joshua and james, and keyboard sourcing w the pianists. fri, sending fang off. all these, together with project meetings, leave about no time at all for studying. -.-

woohoo

i think i found out why i couldn't put in photos. i was using the old editor. so today i chanced upon the settings and put it to new editor, and tada! ok now i've to think abt what to update cos there's so much.

wk3 of sch just ended. and it's starting to get busy. though most of the time i'm busy with non academic stuff lke crusade and church and drums.

just met with wang ye today and she commented that being a christian takes up alot of time. then i started counting how much time i spend on such stuff and it amounted to 13 a week, at the very least.

anyways, i received my very first teachers' day present from my piano student :D it was from pei yun, whose mother is the most picky out of all the parents. so i was really really pleasantly surprised when she gave the present to me.

AND i received a teachers' day present from Qing En!!! haha. that was a super pleasant surprise. :D and there was a card from yu xi too :)

on tues, i invited my xiaozu over for lunch. they all turned up despite the heavy downpour. and we had pizza, chips, campbell soup, and ribena mix 7up. then we played monopoly. and the guys totally beat the girls. they got so much more money + assets than the girls at the end of it la! my niece played with them, and she had so much fun la. my mother was saying it's as if its her friends who're over, not mine.

BUT kunming is not all gros :) There's the dachangjing-lookalike house of the pastor, the scenery at the mountains where we had our informal R&R, and of course the kids we taught! I miss the kids and the mountains!
